SHERRI K. MCEUEN
Artistically influenced by Dalí and Picasso, Sherri McEuen has been an accomplished sculptor, animator and surrealist painter since the 1970's. Sherri uses clay and bronze to capture youth, beauty, grace and innocence in the female form.
Self taught as a sculptor, she first experimented with bronze casting in 2001 when she segued into her new medium, bronze sculpture. Sherri's subject matter is drawn primarily from the female form. She celebrates youth, beauty, motherhood and freedom. Her ceramic sculptures are visionary, one of a kind and push the edge celebrating Mardi Gras, Carnivale, they are raw and she uses 24k gold lusters to create a focus on battle scars, lips and the crowns on her angels and princesses. She uses numbers to depict time, how we use our time, how much time we have left. Her sculptures include political topics for women as in the 'Me Too' movement, depicting strong women-always.
